Pattern Recognition: Masquerade

Spending quite a bit of time scouring the web to find interesting imagery often leads us to see patterns that emerge across the thousands of pictures we discover on a daily basis. Our recently posted Mert & Marcus shoot entitled "Bal Masqué" was so dramatic that it peaked our interest in the dark yet sexy theme of masks in fashion photography that we then couldn't help but see everywhere henceforth.

Here's a compilation of some of our best finds from various photographic sources.

Let's Get Filthy Clean

We were putzing around New York this weekend when we stumbled upon "The Market NYC", a place where independent designers were showing their wares. A smile crept upon our faces when we spotted "Fithy Farmgirl" Soaps.

Their cheeky vintage style illustrations, cleverly named soaps, and exotic smells had us enthralled. Another amazing aspect of these little gems is that they are all hand made in a wide variety of "flavors" in Hawaii using only 100% natural ingredients that are grown in Filthy Farmgirl's backyard (or at least locally sourced). We can't wait to try our "Onolicious Tropical Bangin' Citrus An' Choke Coconut" Filthy Surfer soap seen below.

Yup, you read right: Filthy Pussy Soap

And for the dirty gentlemen in our lives: Filthy Cock Soap
