Black Milk
We almost had a fashion-o-gasm upon discovery of Black Milk, a totally outrageous legging-slash-swimwear brand by James Lillis. Calling the line “fashion-forward” would be an understatement as Black Milk leggings, body suits, swimsuits and other self-declared “insane” articles of clothing are beyond anything you could pick up at American Apparel or anywhere else accessible to the casual shopper.
We almost don’t want to describe them too much for fear that such ramblings would kill the punch (a big fat fashion punch in the face!), but let it be known that this company is so bad-ass that they literally have blood splatter shiny leggings and an airbrushed wolf digitally printed swimsuit in their current collection.
It’s brands like Black Milk that make fashion so much fun.

Going Dutch (or African): Vlisco Campaign
Although not related to our regular topic of coverage, namely lingerie or swimwear (and the occasional gratuitous fashion tit), this stunning campaign by Dutch fabric company, Vlisco, was too unique to oversee. Showcasing their gorgeous prints on models wearing origami-like dresses and geometric hairstyles, they manage to truly capture their product without even bordering on the generic.
One of the most original yet tasteful campaigns we've seen this year. Well done!
