Strongly influenced by the look of 1920s burlesque showgirls, French fashion icon, Jean Paul Gaultier introduced his Couture 2010 collection with the help of pinup star, Ditta Von Teese. Here are a couple of the more lingerie-inspired pieces from the collection.

New York based fashion designer Mara Hoffman's swimwear designs feature a crazy kaleidoscope of colour. Although her 2010 swim collection (featured below) is ultra-modern, you still get a sense that it was largely inspired by african prints and a tribal aesthetic.

Finalement! Canada has launched an ultra-edgy, super chic lingerie line that is proud of it's northerly roots.

Taking it's name from the literary euphemism for Absinthe, La Fee Verte lingerie (English translation: The Green Fairy) is as intoxicating as it's hallucinogenic predecessor. With a rich colour palette and classical, luxurious fabrics, La Fee Verte's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection is absolutely stunning.
